All around the night is dark as pitch,
You can see because your eyes are green,
Black Cat, Black Cat this is Halloween!
You can see because your eyes are green,
Black Cat, Black Cat this is Halloween!
Alright, I thought it might be pertinent this time of year to list these lyrics. Why, you ask? Well besides it obviously being a Halloween song, it seems to be the reason why many people come across this blog. Of course this time of year it is especially true. Let me explain. I can look up through Google Analytics to see how people get to this blog, whether it is through facebook, etc... I am also able to see common words people type in google and end up on my blog. So the number one thing that is searched for on google, then brings people to my blog is "Black Cat, Black Cat looking for a witch". You see, last year I posted an entry with that exact title and it's been receiving hits ever since. I decided to go back and look at that post and well, had I known it was going to be so popular I would certainly have been a bit more interesting. Anyway, the only reason I can think that anybody would search the title of that song is to find the lyrics and I can imagine it's quite disappointing to arrive on my blog and find some bad story about it being my birthday soon and Fall. So today, I am trying to redeem myself in posting the lyrics!
Speaking of my birthday(it's October 29 since I'm guessing you were dying to know), I was lucky enough to receive a very nice gift from my husband a few days ago. I finally came out of the stone ages(that's a huge exaggeration) and now have a flat screen tv. I really seem to be hitting the technological jackpot of sorts recently. I just got an Iphone a few weeks ago which just so happens to be my first camera phone ever! Seriously, once my grandma thought my old tiny little phone was a remote control...it was that boring. I was so 2003 for, like, ever(I don't really talk like that, I was kinda imagining Whoopi Goldberg when she does that annoying voice on The View).
Do you remember when you were little and time basically seemed like it was crawling like a snail? I often wonder why it seems so fast now as opposed to then. Every single month I think, "Oh my gosh, it's almost the end of (insert month)!". I wonder if it will slow down as life once again moves at a slower pace. Anyway, so Evangeline is now a little over 3 months old! She sleeps less during the day much to my dismay, and nighttime is getting a little bit better but we're still up once or twice during the night. Isabelle is still doing well in her big girl bed but it seems we will need to start closing her door every night. The little sneak has gotten out of bed at 4am and comes to sleep with us lately. She also started peeing on her potty a couple of times in the past few days. Lastly, gymnastics may be in our future as Isabelle has figured out how to do a somersault and likes to show us multiple times a day! It's probably because I constantly try to get her to do somersaults all the time but I can't help it. It's super funny and cute!
Before I depart, I'll leave you with a few pictures.
This is an Elvis Pez Dispenser.....but Isabelle thinks it's her dad. She will point and say "Dad?".
Oh Evangeline.....those little leggings are so cute, aren't they?

Funny you did the Black Cat thing....for some reason that song is in my head every year when it comes time for Halloween...which by the way, is my very favorite time of the year. Crazy I know but I love fall and Halloween is my fav. holiday ever!!!
The girls are so cute and growing way too fast for me. Time does seem to go way too fast the older that you get so don't expect it to slow down.
I miss you guys!
Love Ya!
mom, step mom, & grandma.
